How is guidance researched?
We prefer New Zealand government agencies, regulators, legislation and public-interest organisations. Common sources include Settled.govt.nz, the Real Estate Authority, Consumer Protection, Inland Revenue, LINZ, Tauranga City Council, Sorted, the Privacy Commissioner and Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake. We do not use real estate agency articles as evidence for general guidance.
How do we handle financial, legal and insurance topics?
Articles explain choices, risks and questions to ask. They do not replace advice from a lawyer, lender, financial adviser, insurer, accountant or licensed real estate professional who understands your circumstances. Time-sensitive figures and rules include a review date where practical.
How are commercial relationships handled?
The educational website is separate from the agent-referral process. If you request contact, your submitted details may be connected with a suitable participating licensed agent. Read how agent contact works for the current process and disclosures. Private plans and calculator figures saved in your browser are not silently shared.
How are updates and corrections made?
Important guides show when they were reviewed and link to their main sources. Plan To Sell My Home updates pages when official guidance or the service changes. Material corrections are prioritised.
Who prepares the website?
Plan To Sell My Home prepares and maintains the educational content. Professional-review attribution is added only when a named reviewer has checked the relevant material; we do not invent credentials or imply an endorsement that has not occurred.
