Make the device list

Walk through every room, garage and outdoor area and list each connected device.
Include hubs, cameras, doorbells, locks, alarms, thermostats, lighting, speakers, appliances, irrigation, solar, batteries and EV chargers.
Record the make, model, location, hub or app used, and whether the device depends on a subscription.
Check the sale agreement and chattels list before deciding that an attached device will leave.

Decide what stays and what goes

Mark every device as staying, being removed, or still to be agreed.
Tell your agent and lawyer about any item that may be mistaken for a fixture or included chattel.
Replace removed devices safely and repair any holes, wiring or mounting damage.
Test devices that will stay and disclose known faults through the proper sale process.
Match staying devices with their hubs, bridges, remotes, chargers, manuals and setup codes.

Protect your privacy

Never type passwords, alarm PINs, payment details or recovery codes into this website. Use the printed handover sheet only for temporary notes, and give sensitive information to the buyer through an agreed secure method.

Download any recordings or data you need, then delete personal history from devices that will stay.
Remove household members, guests, voice profiles, payment methods and personal automations.
Unlink devices from personal Apple, Google, Amazon or manufacturer accounts where required.
Cancel or transfer subscriptions without exposing payment details.
Factory-reset devices only when the manufacturer recommends it and the buyer can set them up again.

Prepare the handover

Create a simple device map showing what each device controls and where its hub or isolator is.
Leave current manuals, support links, model numbers and transferable warranty information.
Explain any essential routines, such as irrigation, pumps, heating, solar or gate operation.
Use manufacturer transfer or invitation tools where available instead of sharing your own login.
Ask the buyer to create their own accounts and confirm you have removed your access after handover.
Keep a dated copy of the final device list and agreed inclusions for your records.
